- Develop conceptual designs and layouts for retail stores based on client requirements, brand guidelines, and industry standards.
- Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit).
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
- Space Planning and Optimization:
- Analyze spatial requirements and optimize store layouts to maximize retail sales area, traffic flow, and customer experience.
- Collaborate with interior designers, merchandisers, and store planners to integrate fixtures, displays, and signage into the store design.
- Material Selection and Specification:
- Research and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and architectural elements for interior and exterior components of retail stores.
- Prepare material boards and specifications detailing finishes, colors, textures, and product specifications for construction documentation.
- Construction/Renovation Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive construction/renovation drawings, detailing architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical components of retail store projects.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of construction documents.
- Project Management:
- Assist in project coordination and management, including scheduling, budgeting, and procurement of materials and services.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to design intent.
- Client Communication:
- Collaborate closely with Mall Admin, retailers, and stakeholders to understand their needs, preferences, and brand identity.
- Present design concepts, proposals, and project updates to clients through meetings, presentations, and visual aids.
- Research and Innovation:
- Stay updated on current trends, technologies, and best practices in retail store design and architecture.
- Explore innovative design solutions and sustainable practices to enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and environmental performance of retail spaces.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in retail store design, architecture, or commercial construction preferred.
- Knowledge of retail industry trends, branding strategies, and customer behavior.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
