With a global platform of data centres in the world’s major business markets of over 170 facilities across Singapore, the UK, India, China, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines.STT GDC offers a full suite of best-in-class, highly scalable, and flexible data centre solutions, connectivity, and support services that best meet customers’ current and future colocation needs.Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities for the day-to-day support of the data centers. They are responsible for managing the team that develops and carries out data center infrastructure 24x7 operations.Responsibilities:Provide leadership and supervision to a team of 24x7 DCSO specialists.Oversee building systems (Upstream to downstream), critical facilities equipment, and other equipment associated with the data center environment including fire/life safety, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of each building system.Plan, implement, coordinate, and supervise all MEP operations, maintenance, and energy management programs for the critical facilities environment.Maintain cost-effective and efficient operation of all building systems.Support data center manager in running operations of data centers to meet service levelDelivers ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) compliance process conformance for incident, problem, and change management.A strong desire and capability to learn, grow, and develop new skills.Act as the Level 2 escalation point for all operational onsite incidents and issues.Manage the team members’ training and developmental needs.Maintain the team members’ duty shift roster and review their timesheets.Ensure all remote hands requests are handled within the Operational and Service Level Agreements.Fulfill standard and complex customer remote hand service requests.Review, validate, and schedule all STT GDC Web Portal tickets raised by the DCSO team, including user requests, incidents, changes, problems, and provisioning management activities.Communicate and enforce standing orders to the teams on changes in procedures and processes, while looking for opportunities to continually improve them.Validate and schedule all internal contractors' and vendors' activities onsite, including reviewing Permit-To-Work (PTW) documents, scheduling of resources, enforcement of house rules, adherence to best practices like ITIL, compliance to work safety procedures, etc.Oversee all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with no disruption of STT GDC services.Ability to manage outage calls, oversee a technical group during an outage, and ability to perform root cause analysis.Ensures vendors meet the metric targets for incident and problem resolution and addressing issues.Provide feedback on the vendor contract review process.Act as second technical SME for Building Engineers, Property Management, and other internal groups.Provide lead audit support to customers and/or internal stakeholders when necessary.Support implementation of ISO27001 security, ISMS, SSAE18 and OSPAR and customer audits.Create accurate and regular reporting to internal stakeholders when necessary (incident reports, health reports, management reports, etc.).Develop and review all Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Operating Procedures for DSCO-related procedures and processes.Manage customer communication and coordination for preventive maintenance and planned and emergency maintenance activities.Provide administrative support in assets inventory and procurement of parts/equipment.Support administration and maintenance of access card, CCTV, and visitor management systems.Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management.Analyze, understand, and review technical data.Requirements:Possess a Degree in Computing/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.Possess 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a 24x7 operations environment (data centers, network operation centers, call centers, etc.).Familiar with data center compliance.Possess good knowledge of M&E, Network Critical Infrastructure, and other building systems.Strong technical aptitude with analytical skills.Good knowledge of DC facilities-related systems such as PDUs, UPS, DC Rectifier, Generator, DRUPs, CRAUs, Chiller, DX cooling, fire protections, raised floor systems, cooling containment, etcAbility to work and communicate effectively, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment handling customers’ expectations.Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Highly organized with an attention to detail.Excellent team player with a proactive learning attitude, leadership skills, and analytical aptitude.Be willing to lead and support major data center activities during non-office hours.Ability to work with minimum supervision and multitasking skills.Ability to work under pressure.No previous criminal records.Good to have:Possess relevant facilities management and/or data center related certifications, such as ITIL, CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, CDCMP, ITIL, SFATC, CCNA, MCP etc.Possess relevant experience in leading a team of working professionals.Familiar with certification standards, such as LEED Gold, BCA-IDA Green Mark Platinum, Uptime Institute Tier III, MAS TVRA, ISO 20000, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, SS507, SS564, etc.Make Your Passion Part of Your Profession.
